Welcome to your FCWR 101 shared writing space

Hi and welcome.

This is a space where students at New York Institute of Technology can share their class FCWR101 writings.

This space is private only for those enrolled in this course.  You are welcome (and encouraged!) to keep your own personal and/or public blog elsewhere, but here, students in Vance’s classes may post their best writing here and earn a “makeup” A on one missed homework assignment, or have their lowest mark replaced with an A.

You can write on an assignment that you have completed or you may expand on one of your free writings.  If you wish you can start a writing in Google Docs and share it with your teacher for feedback before posting it here.

You can post by logging into the blogspace http://fcwr101.posterous.com
or by sending your post by email FROM the address where you are a member of this space
TO fcwr101@posterous.com

You can attach media files to your email and these will appear in your post.  In some cases simply a LINK to a media file (image, video, etc.) will cause that file to be imbedded in your post.

When someone posts here all subscribers get an email. You will be able to read and most importantly COMMENT on each other’s writings. You can comment either by posting at the site, or by responding directly to the email.

I think I have added all students enrolled in the course as of today as contributors to the blog.  That means you should all receive a copy of this post by email and you should all be able to comment or post your own writing.  Some of you have created accounts here.  I asked everyone to do that but I think you can participate without a Posterous account.

As we find out more, I’ll update this introduction.  Meanwhile, I am sure you will enjoy the course, especially if you like writing πŸ™‚
